Morgan Wallen just wrapped up his opening duties on Little Big Town ‘s ‘Beautiful Thing’ tour, but the singer is already preparing for the next phase of his career as well.
He’s gearing up for a big fall tour, including a stop at the CMA Music Festival this fall. The Country Throwdown Tour kicks off in September and will hit several major cities around the country.
Wallen will be joined by several well-known Nashville artists who are also rising stars: Parmalee , Kane Brown , Kip Moore , Granger Smith and Jon Pardi . It’s not the first time he’s played the festival, but it is likely his most extensive CMA Music Festival get-together yet.
Songwriter Ross Copperman has collaborated with Wallen before. The same goes for Ed Drewett, an associate producer on Wallen’s self-titled debut album.
“I like to throw some curveballs up to these guys, and they don’t know what’s coming,” Wallen says in a press release. “I’m excited to be playing these huge festivals and performing with my friends, as well as with all these new artists we’ve been working with.”
