Although these Fuchsa Israelis run the entire concept as a store, their dresses have become a lifestyle. They are owned by a group of designers who have formed a company called FabFashionUSA to manage their permanent and wholesale businesses in the U.S. FabFashionUSA also operates FabFashionSales.com, which sells weddings and other special occasions fabrics to creative designers. Like any mid-sized enterprise, the founders have to balance smart business decisions with their personal lives. Through FabFashionUSA, the Fuchsa brand has helped women with health issues—some with fringes that require shorter or longer tresses—as well as young people in addiction. When a bride is looking for a new gown, FabFashionUSA and the director of dress design—former intern Rami Taishe—can match her with the designer who best meets her taste level and budget.
Fuchsa designs fashions and accessories to work with the Fuchsa fashion brand. Textile orders must be approved by FabFashionUSA’s management, for which Julie Bower is the head office manager. A course in embroidery is also offered at FabFashionUSA, through a collaboration with Springfield Technical Community College. This allows FabFashionUSA to help young women who are using techniques like feather and beadwork to make their own dresses, instead of using the designs offered by those who have worked at Fuchsa as a source.
