A Toronto man faces charges after the Toronto police unveiled a massive child pornography and exploitation investigation involving 36 video files and thousands of images of children. The disturbing images were found on two computers, an iPad and various hard drives, according to CTV News.
Michael Burton, 59, is accused of possessing and distributing videos that show two young girls between the ages of four and six being raped and tortured by adults and children.
He was also charged with several counts of possession and distribution of child pornography.
Police searched his home in Azen, Ont., which is a suburb of Toronto, on Friday.
Burton was scheduled to appear in court on Saturday.
Toronto police are confident they have identified at least some of the victims.
Their investigation is ongoing.
Burton had previously been charged with criminal harassment for threatening an elementary school teacher and “disturbing the peace” by throwing rocks at motorists while they were driving.
